I only used the stem stamp from the set I punched flowers using the Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch. It makes it so easy to add the flowers. We also made the card in purple.

Cardstock: Whisper white, Calypso coral, in color DSP.
Ink: Lucky Limeade
Stamps: Bold blossom, Happy Birthday is from a set I cannot think of now but will add later.
Enjoy!

VC Rocks July Blog Hop

Welcome to the July Blog Hop for VCROCKS!!!

If you did not stop there you can always go back there to start over or to find a blog you may have missed.
I hope you arrived at my blog by the blog of: Debbie Martin  http://cleverandcute.blogspot.com
If not you can click on her link and go back to see what she has to share with you today.

What I have to share with you today is a slice of cake.

I love making these as wedding gifts. I insert a gift card in the back where there is an opening.

I downloaded this pattern from the SU web site. They have three different sizes you can make. I chose the largest of the three. I printed the template directly onto my white cardstock. Cut it out and folded on the printed lines.
Used a wheel and Versamark ink to make the pattern on the cakebox. Used black embossing powder and heated with the heat gun.
I used sticky strip tape to hold it together. It just fits on the fold lines. I then made my bows and wrapped the box in ribbon. I added a few pearls to the ribbon. I now have a great gift box.

Hope you enjoyed my share for today and come back often to see what else I have to share with you.

Katelyn MaryBeth

This is a picture of my one year old grandaughter Katelyn. She is modeling a headband I made for her.
I bought her outfit at Gymboree and made the headband later but it matches really well.
I just had to share a photo of her sitting in her Poppy's lap before he leaves for work.
I wrapped the headband in pink satin ribbon, added tulle behind the large flower and glued it al together. I am learning. I am also trying to learn to make hairbows so stay tuned in for photos of those. Thanks for looking and come back soon. Mary

VC Rocks June Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Blog Hop of athe VC Rocks Yahoo Group...
Our home page is: vcrocks at: http://vcrocks.blogspot.com/
You can always start the hop there. We have 33 blogs to share with you. Hope you take the time to visit them all. You will find a lot of talent in this group of stampers.
You may have arrived from the blog:
 Diane Clark-Sutton Stampin Ldygflr62 http://www.stampinldyglfr62.blogspot.com/
If not then I hope you go back and check out what she has to  share.

Welcome to my blog, I am so glad you stopped by. I hope you will return for another visit soon.
This month we are showcasing the Big Shot machine,
I chose to use the embossing folder Flower Garden. This is in the Summer Mini Catalog.

Here are the details:
Paper: Perfect Plum,: card
Whisper White : 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 and 2 1/2 x 5 1/4
 Subtles Patterns Stack of Designer Paper: 1 1/4 x 5 and 2 1/4 x 5
Ribbon: 5/8 Whisper white Organza  (9.5 inches)
Embossing Folder: Flower Garden
Sanding Block

After running the DSP through the Big Shot I taped it down to the white paper before using the sanding block on the flower. If you don't then the DSP tears easily.

My second photo shows the card with a greeting. Just a simple Thinking of You.
I used a scrap of Whisper White paper and Perfect Plum ink.
I used the Word Window large punch and then using the Mat Pack and the paper piercing tool I punched a hole in the end and strung it with the White Baker's Twine. I then tied it on the ribbon and let it hang down.

My card is very simple and easy and can be made in any color. Make some up and leave the greeting off so you can grab one when needed to write a personel note inside.

Thanks again for stopping by.

VC Rocks challenge 1

The challenge was to make a card with red and circles. It also had to be a Congrats card.
I made it but it has no class. It shows as something that was put together fast.
It is not my best work. Maybe for the next challenge I can put in more time.

VC Rocks challenge

They issue challenges and the first challenge was to pick three colors of paper.
Two had to be from one color family and one from another color family.
I chose Old olive, Baja breeze and Rose red.
We were then to make a card using the 3 colors we chose and using only 1 stamp.
It should be a congratulations or a single phrase. I chose congratulations. I stamped it in old olive and then put the paper in the big shot using the new Flower Garden embossing folder.
I hope you like my card and thanks for looking.

April Blog Hop

This month we are sharing anything but a card...
You should have arrived here from:The Bluegrass Stamper
http://bluegrassstamperstudio.blogspot.com/
I chose to share with you a flower. Not just any flower but a flower I made from fabric circles I cut with the Big Shot and circles #2 die. It is the cheapest material you can find. Get one that ravels easily.
Here are the circles I started with. You can double up on the number of circles you use to make the flower as full as you want it. I placed my circles on top of each other and punched a center hole with my crop-a-dile. Next I placed a brad in the center. This holds the layers together. If you use a Rhinestone brad be careful not to melt the center. I held my layers down with the point of my scissors. Then I used my heat gun to melt the flower layers until they curled like I wanted them to. You have to have a little patience as it can sometimes be a slow melt or it can be very fast if you use a thinner material.
I cut out a felt circle to glue on the back and then glued on a hair clip

I hope you enjoyed seeing my share today.
