Welcome to my blog, I am so glad you stopped by. I hope you will return for another visit soon.
This month we are showcasing the Big Shot machine,
I chose to use the embossing folder Flower Garden. This is in the Summer Mini Catalog.
Here are the details:
Paper: Perfect Plum,: card
Whisper White : 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 and 2 1/2 x 5 1/4
Subtles Patterns Stack of Designer Paper: 1 1/4 x 5 and 2 1/4 x 5
Ribbon: 5/8 Whisper white Organza (9.5 inches)
Embossing Folder: Flower Garden
Sanding Block
After running the DSP through the Big Shot I taped it down to the white paper before using the sanding block on the flower. If you don't then the DSP tears easily.
My second photo shows the card with a greeting. Just a simple Thinking of You.
I used a scrap of Whisper White paper and Perfect Plum ink.
I used the Word Window large punch and then using the Mat Pack and the paper piercing tool I punched a hole in the end and strung it with the White Baker's Twine. I then tied it on the ribbon and let it hang down.
My card is very simple and easy and can be made in any color. Make some up and leave the greeting off so you can grab one when needed to write a personel note inside.
Thanks again for stopping by.

Mary, beautiful card. Loved the hint to attach the DSP before sanding -- how come I didn't think of that -- duh. Wonderful idea, TFS.
Very nice. Thanks for the tips too.
Oh what a cool idea to sand the DSP--love it!
Just checking to see how hard it is to leave a comment.
Love both versions of your card. I definitely need some baker's twine.
liked the hint...will try that next time....
Thanks for the reminder about sanding dsp...I rarely remember to do that to change the look up a bit. Thank you for sharing a pretty card.
Love the sanded embossing folder. I will have to try this.
