New Blog Header

I apologise for not posting. I have been super busy with Christmas. Enjoying my children, grandchildren and all my big family. I took time to make a new banner for my blog using My Digital Studio. It is available from Stampin Up and is useful for lots of things. I used it to make my Christmas cards this year too. Please come back as I plan on making more cards and sharing them soon. Thanks for your patience. Mary

What a Blessing today has been!

The service was very touching. After the service we went downstairs to the fellowship hall for finger food prepared by the women of both churches. We were back at church at 5 pm for the Live Nativity. See photos below. We were just getting the people dressed and sent outside when this photo was snapped. This year was different as we did not have any live animals. We sometimes have sheep, goats, horses, donkeys and what ever else is available. The weather has been very bad here and people did not want to get out like they usually do. But for the ones who braved the weather it was a wonderful time of fellowship and everyone was Blessed to share in such a joyous time.

Peace On Earth

 Stamps: Scenic Season, Peaceful Season
Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink: Night of Navy
Acc: Sponge, 2 1/2 inch circle punch, 1 inch circle punch, embossing folder Northern Flurry.

This is a very easy card to make. I cased it from Dawn Griffith.
Night of navy card with whisper white layer cut 1/4 inch smaller. Run whisper white layer through the big shot using the Norther flurry embossing folder. Stamp Peace on Earth in night of navy ink on card front. Stamp the trees in night of navy ink on whisper white cardstock and punch out using the 2 1/2 inch circle punch.Punch out 1 inch circle from post it note making sure it has some sticky on it. Place circle where you would like your moon to be. Sponge night of navy ink around the 1 inch circle. Remove the 1 inch circle.  Adhere your 2 1/2 inch circle to the front of your card. This is my Christmas card for this year. I may add some rhinestones to the snowflakes and I am going to experiment with the Smooch Spritz to see how that looks.
Experiment with this card and see what you can do, and have fun.
Thanks for your visit and come back often. Mary

My Weekend

My hubby and I spent our weekend with the grand kids. We had so much fun with them at Bass Pro. Santa arrived on saturday and we took them to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. We let them make a craft and play with the train, remote truck and cars. Then we went upstairs to Starbucks for popcorn and hot chocolate.  They are age 6 months, 3,4,and 6. We had as much fun as they did. Sunday we took them to what they call the bouncy store. It is called Puzzles and they have lots of blowups where the kids can get inside and bounce. Then we took them to Cracker Barrell to eat. Another great day!

Come to Bethlehem

Stamps: Come to Behelehem

Paper: Basic black, whisper white
Acc: Embossing folder Elegant Lines, basic rhinestone

Not totally pleased with this card. The next one I make I will try versamark ink and white embossing powder and see how well that turns out. The white craft ink is blotchy in my opinion. I want a solid image. I will post the do over later. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy my card. Mary

Singing in Church

I am so sorry to have not posted in the last few days but I have been practicing to do a solo song in church today. I sing in the choir, and in the local choral society but this is my first solo. I am very nervous. I do well for my husband but when I get before a crowd I get really nervous. Please pray for me. Thank you, Mary Campbell My Stampin Up website: http://marycampbell.stampinup.net

Snowman Card Changeup

This card is a lot like yesterdays except I forgot to add my ribbon before I taped down the card front so I made a sentiment to add. I punched a large oval in crumb cake. I punched a scallop oval in Bashful blue and I punched a white circle after stamping on it. The snowman and the sentiment are both from the new set Jolly Old Saint Nick in the new mini catalog. I like it and hope you do to.
