SU Stars Blog Hop 1 of 2011

Welcome to our first blog hop of 2011...

Home page: list of all blogs taking part in the blog hop.

You should have arrived here from Nancy Keithley's blog http://fancynancykay.blogspot.com

I made a couple of thank you cards for you to enjoy.

Stamps: Serene Snowflakes, Elegant Thank You
Paper: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Versamark
Acc: clear embossing powder, large oval punch, sponge daubers, heat gun
I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark and embossed them in clear. I took a sponge dauber and the bashful blue ink and sponged the centers of the snowflakes. Then the night of navy ink and sponged around the snowflakes. Stamped my Thank You in bashful Blue ink and punched with the large oval punch. Sponged around the punched oval with bashful blue ink.
My next card is:
Stamp: from a set I cannot find the name of.
Ink: crumb cake
Paper: Crumb Cake, whisper white
Acc: Embossing folder vintage wallpaper, decorative label punch, victoria lace, sponge daubers, brayer

I brayered crumb cake ink on my embossing folder and then laid my whisper white paper down and ran it through the Big Shot. ( I added a photo at the bottom of the page of what happens when you brayer the opposite site.) I stamped my thanks and sponged around the edges. Added my lace bow and used dimensionals under the label punch.

I hope you enjoyed your stop at my blog. Please come back often to visit.

Your cards are great Mary -- I, too, have not tried this technique yet, but it is on my list to do. TFS

Awesome cards, especially the last one. I love the distressed look when you brayer the embossing folders. Thanks for the great tip.
